Basement Flooding Repairs in Troy, IL
This project relieved basement flooding. The backyard clearly sloped toward the inside corner of the house and garage. The customer described “hearing water rushing” into the basement and sump pump. They installed a second sump pump because of the flooding. We changed the grading by up to 8 inches, installed drain tile, added a surface drain, and created a curtain of earth to keep the heavy flow from the yard away from the house. The next heavy rain came, over 2 inches in a short period, and the customer happily texted there was no water and they didn't think the sump pumps even activated.
